Every taxpayer-funded expenditure made by an elected official is, by definition conducted with money that is taken from a taxpayer. When it is our money being spent, we deserve to know how that money is being spent. Each elected official should be required to post all of his or her taxpayer-funded expenditures online for his constitutents to read and review.

Honestly and accountability in government is most readily accomplished simply through the exercise of open and transparent government.
